The Wheaten Terrier is from Ireland. He is a Medium Size Terrier and has a medium energy level. They are said to be deeply devoted and friendly and happy dogs. It is said that the Wheaten will greet you intensely if you are gone for a few minutes to hours but leave them for longer you get something called a, "Wheaten Greetin'!" They have a Soft Coat and have that name as the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. They were recognized by the AKC in 1973 and are #66 on the Most Popular Breed List.
