The Pelican shown on this Wheel House Design Sock is the American White Pelican. They have long Black Feathers that can only be seen in flight. Otherwise you see White Feathers, long Yellow Bill and Short Feet. Sometimes when they feed, they will gather and cooperate by coordinating their swimming to drive the schools of fish to the shallows. What I love when I see them is how they soar on the thermals going around and around and soon almost out of sight they fly away.
